Our Students Gained Good Achievements in NECCS

  Recently, the National English Contest for College Students 2017 (hereafter called“NECCS”) was held in Shanghai Jiaotong University. Our students gained good achievements in this contest. Huang Guorong (graduate student class) won A-level first prize, Xie Xiaoming (English Major class) won B-level first prize, Liu Yuanyuan and Li Yuewei (non-professional bachelor class) won C-level first prizes and Hu Jinhua (specialist and art class) won D-level first prize.  

  The College of Arts and Sciences highly focused on this contest. They made mass mobilization in the campus, and organized the preliminary contest carefully, and finally selected 5 from 888 students to participate in the national final competition on behalf of our university. Furthermore, in order to make the students have good result in the contest, the tutors, in the view of this contest, carried out the training and lecture for these students before contest to deeply analyze the new situations of competition and propose some suggestion on it.

  As the sole high-class, -quality and -level comprehensive English ability contest for graduates in China, the NECCS, which is approved by Ministry of Education, is jointly sponsored by the Foreign Language Teaching Advisory Board under the Ministry of Education. In 2017, there were about 30 thousands students from 35 universities participating in this contest. In these universities, about 203 students took part in the final written examination and 194 students in the final oral examination.
